Football provides such a great opportunity for young athletes to learn the qualities of hard work, teamwork, and character; all of which are important qualities to have once children start to become adults.  All Buccaneer's Board Members want all CVSD Student-Athletes to have access to the lessons provided through the sport of football regardless of the family's ability to pay.  If you are concerned about your ability to afford the fee to participate in the Bucs 2023 Season, please reach out to Jason Barron at 802-578-8667 or Jason@ncmiinc.com to discuss obtaining a Coach's Scholarship.

Equipment Pickup Options- Sunday, Jul. 30th (or) Sunday, Aug. 13th (choose one) - Located at our Storage Unit, Storage Solutions, 119 Commerce Street in Hinesburg

• 9:00 AM -10:00 AM– 7/8 Team Members
• 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM – 5/6 Team Members
• 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Flag Team Members

If you have multiple children on different team levels, you may come at either time that works best for you.  If you can only make it for a different hour than your scheduled time, that’s fine; just let us know in advance.  All equipment is provided except for mouthguards.  Equipment pickup day is dedicated to getting your child properly fitted for their equipment.  It’s very important to attend this event so that coaches are not being pulled away from practice to fit players after the start of the season.  Doing so jeopardizes the safety of our program.  If you are not able to attend either date for equipment pickup, please inform Coach Jason Barron at jason@ncmiinc.com as soon as possible to make other arrangements.

Preseason Practices - Monday, Aug. 14th – Friday, Aug. 25th

M-F, 6:00-7:30 PM (flag team) 6:00–8:00 PM (5/6 & 7/8 Teams)

We know that this is an intense schedule, but it is important for conditioning these young athletes to set them up for success and safety on the field. All age groups will warm up together at the beginning of each practice, which creates a great opportunity for our older players to welcome and mentor our younger players-a long-standing Bucc’s tradition. Your child is expected to participate in preseason practice unless other commitments (such as family vacations, etc.) prevent them from doing so.  Please let us know in advance if your child will be absent from any preseason practices so that we can make arrangements for a successful welcome to the program. 

Jamboree - Saturday, Aug. 26th (9:00 am – 3:00 pm) Morse Park, Monkton

This is a tournament between the Buc’s and other youth football programs in the area.  It’s a FUN-filled day for our players and families, which includes food trucks, lawn games, a 50/50 raffle fundraiser, Buc’s apparel sales, and a DJ.  This will take place in Monkton at Morse Park Field.  Players must have at least 10 practices to be eligible to play in the Jamboree (this is another reason why we want all players participating in the first two weeks of preseason practice- but again, we understand if they cannot).  More details to come later. 

Regular Season Practices– Starting Tuesday, Aug. 29th – Mid-October (Late October for 7/8th grade team if they make playoffs)

• Flag practice schedule – Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:30-7:00 PM
• 5/6th & 7/8th Grade practice schedule – Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 5:30-7:00 PM
